Step through the arched gate and the pool is the first thing you see, with the dining area opening straight onto it. The ceiling here is double height, with woven rattan pendants hanging over a round teak dining table and a green wall running up beside the staircase. The black-framed sliding doors open fully, so the pool and the breeze become part of the room. Close them and the air conditioning takes over for the heat of the afternoon. 

The dining table is the heart of this villa. Cook breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen, set the table, and eat with the pool in front of you. In the evening, the same table is where a long dinner with friends happens. It is a simple routine that makes a stay here feel like having your own home in Bali. 

Both bedrooms have their own bathroom with a rain shower, a Smart TV and crisp white linen on teak platform beds, and both are air conditioned. The first floor bedroom is a good choice for anyone who prefers to skip the stairs. Upstairs, the second bedroom opens onto a balcony under a woven bamboo ceiling, with a wide view of the open sky. 

Villa Kama 1 sits in North Pererenan. It is around ten minutes by scooter to Pererenan Beach and about fifteen minutes to Seseh Beach, where the sunsets are worth the ride. The cafe streets of Pererenan are close, so you can spend a day strolling from coffee to brunch to a late afternoon swim.

Other Things To Note

Please note that nature is part of everyday life in Bali. Being on a tropical island, it is not unusual to hear or spot animals around the villa from time to time, such as bats, lizards and bugs. They are all completely harmless and part of local life. The villa does not have a generator, so in the rare event of a local power outage, this is outside the host’s control.e surrounding construction.
