What stays with you at Villa Kama 2 is the way the light moves through it. Tall black-framed arched windows fill the double height dining area, and sunlight drifts across the pool, the rattan pendants and the green wall by the staircase. It is a room that changes through the day, bright in the morning and softer by evening. 

The dining area and kitchen open onto the private pool with sliding doors. Eat at the round teak table, then slip into the water without going far. The fully equipped kitchen is set up for simple meals, from a slow breakfast to a dinner you cook yourselves after a day out. When the heat builds, close the doors and the air conditioning keeps the room cool. 

The bedrooms are bright and comfortable, each with a teak platform bed and crisp white linen. Each also has a Smart TV, air conditioning, and a bathroom with black fittings and a rain shower. The upstairs bedroom opens onto a balcony under a woven bamboo ceiling, which throws patterned shadows across the terracotta floor. It is a nice place to step out and look up at the open sky.  The first floor bedroom is the easier choice if you would rather skip the stairs. 

Villa Kama 2 is in North Pererenan. It is around ten minutes by scooter to Pererenan Beach and about fifteen minutes to Seseh Beach. This part of Bali is made for wandering: the cafes and brunch spots of Pererenan are a short ride away, so a day can move easily from coffee to the beach to dinner.

Daily housekeeping is included, so the villa is always fresh when you come back to it.

Other Things To Note

Please note that nature is part of everyday life in Bali. Being on a tropical island, it is not unusual to hear or spot animals around the villa from time to time, such as bats, lizards and bugs. They are all completely harmless and part of local life. The villa does not have a generator, so in the rare event of a local power outage, this is outside the host’s control.
