Family Halloween in Bali 2026: Where to Take Your Kids for Spooky Fun

Family Events Halloween in Bali

Little ones, big plans. Bali’s kids’ Halloween calendar this year has a funhouse with face painting, a craft table buried in glitter, and a party where the villain is a monster made of rubbish. Best of all, everything on our list is in Canggu and Pererenan, so you can unpack once and stay put. Plus, costumes are encouraged, and there’s a villa pool waiting for when the sugar wears off.

Best Kids Halloween Events in Canggu 2026

Nobody’s knocking on doors here, but kids still get their Halloween. Instead, in Bali it happens at parties and workshops, and our three picks each have their own personality: one is a proper party, one is a craft session, and one is a mission to save the planet. Better still, the dates fall a day or a week apart, so you can do all three. Also, two of them wrap up by 6 PM, so bedtime stays safe.

Madu Funhouse Party at Milk & Madu, Canggu

Best for: A full Halloween party in one afternoon.

First up: the big one. Milk & Madu’s Funhouse Party is one of the most popular kids’ Halloween events on the island, and it’s easy to see why. For one thing, you get games, trick-or-treating, face painting, a photobooth and prizes to win, all packed into three hours. Plus, it runs from 3 to 6 PM, so you’re home before dinner.

Here’s the part parents like: companions walk in free. In fact, only the kids need a ticket, and it comes with a kids’ set menu and a Halloween goodie bag, plus access to the photobooth and games.

  • Date: Saturday 24 October, 3 PM to 6 PM
  • Where: Milk & Madu, Canggu
  • Price: IDR 300,000+++ per child
  • Included: Kids’ set menu, Halloween goodie bag, photobooth and games
  • Parents and companions: Free entry
  • Tickets: Buy tickets at milkandmadu.com

Heads up: Because the price is per child, tally up your pirates, witches and pumpkins before you register. Also, staying in Uluwatu? The same party runs there on Saturday 31 October.

Boo-tiful Bash at Mai Main Playground Canggu

Best for: Kids who’d rather make Halloween than watch it.

The next day, swap the party for a craft table. On Sunday 25 October, Mai Main Playground in Canggu turns Halloween into a make-it-yourself project. Specifically, the Boo-tiful Bash is all about hands-on decorations and crafts, spooky enough to be fun but never scary enough for nightmares.

Best of all, there’s no stage and no costume contest, just kids, glue and a lot of imagination, in a playground built for them. As a result, they’ll head home with something they made themselves, and you’ll get a calm, creative morning out of it.

  • Date: Sunday 25 October 2026
  • Where: Mai Main Playground, Canggu

Heads up: Message first to RSVP, and while you’re there, ask about age range and timings.

Spooktacular Sustainability Kids Halloween Party at Rumah Rabbit, Pererenan

Best for: A Halloween with a plot twist.

In this case, the monster is the rubbish. Rumah Rabbit Bali in Pererenan puts a green spin on Halloween with its Spooktacular Sustainability Kids Halloween Party, built on one idea: the scariest thing out there is wasteful humans. In practice, kids team up to chase the waste monster away, which turns a little fright into a lot of delight, with a sustainability lesson tucked inside.

Spots at this kind of party tend to be limited, so don’t leave it to the last minute. For the latest dates, times and how to register, check Rumah Rabbit Bali on Instagram.

Heads up: Also, check their Instagram before you finalise your plans, so your dates line up with the party.

Where to Stay in Canggu for Halloween

The best part of a long party day is the walk back to the villa. Luckily, both of these stays are family friendly, close to the beach and have private pools, and both put you within reach of all three events.

Travelling with cousins, grandparents and a big family? In that case, Rumah Tiha in Pererenan sleeps up to thirteen across six ensuite bedrooms, so everyone gets their own space, and one room can be set up as twin or double for mixed groups of kids and adults.

Better yet, it sits in the same neighbourhood as Rumah Rabbit, with beaches, cafes and shops close by. Inside, the Japandi style keeps things calm, with high ceilings, warm wood and big windows onto tropical greenery.

Outside, a generous pool comes with a relaxed poolside spot for lounging, and a large outdoor table is where the family meals happen. Upstairs, the rooftop terrace is a quiet golden-hour spot once the kids are asleep. On top of that, the villa manager can arrange a private chef for nights when nobody wants to cook.

A smaller crew can still get a great base. For example, Copper Estate 2 in Batu Bolong sleeps up to four across two ensuite bedrooms, right on Batu Bolong street in the lively heart of Canggu. Cafes, beach clubs and boutiques are around the corner, and the beaches are a 5 minute drive away. As for the villa itself, you get a private pool in tropical surroundings, an open living area that makes it easy to keep an eye on little ones, and a fully equipped kitchen for snacks and simple meals.

Either way, the plan is the same: party, craft, splash, then come home to a villa with a pool and room to spread out.

Handy to Know Before You Go

  • Villa first. Halloween lands on a weekend this year, and family villas in Canggu book up fast.
  • Double-check the details. Times and prices can change, so use the links and contacts above for the latest.
  • Book a driver. Canggu and Pererenan traffic can crawl, and tired kids don’t enjoy it. Ask your villa manager to arrange one.
  • Dress for the heat. Light costumes win, and a spare outfit is a good idea.
  • Keep the villa nights easy. A swim, a family dinner and a movie are plenty.
